Geranium is an uplifting oil that has a great all-over balancing effect on the mind and this uplifting property also extends to the effect it has on the skin – where it helps to create balance between oily and dry skin. It helps to sort out emotions – where it helps to relieve feelings of stress and anxiety, and also works on the adrenal cortex, which has a balancing effect on the hormone system.

Effect on mind:  Influences the adrenal cortex, reducing stress. Helps quell anxiety or depression. Uplifting.

Effect on body:  Can be useful for kidney, gall stone, diabetes and urinary infections. Diuretic properties can help reduce fluid retention and swollen ankles. Stimulates the lymphatic system and can regulate the hormonal system. Aromatic insect repellent.

Effect on skin:  Useful for all skin conditions, balancing sebum. Eczema, burns, shingles, herpes, ring worm may respond.
